Returns / Refunds

 THE CLEAN AND SIMPLE ANSWERS FOR ALL THINGS, “RETURNED”

If it's "our bad" we don't expect you to pay for it:

1. If we are responsible for a mistake in your order, either by shipping you the wrong shirt or size, we are happy to correct this with no extra charge.

2. All you need to do is send us a nice email telling us who you are, what the problem is, what the original order was and how you would like it fixed.

3. After we get back to you just mail us back the package and please remember to choose a carrier with insurance and tracking since we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged packages.

4. Once we get the returned order we can then refund you for the return shipping cost and mail you the correct order. Obviously if the package is returned to us and the shirts have been damaged or worn we will be unable to give you a refund of any kind.

ALL OTHER RETURNS:

We are a small company, everything is hand printed, hand packaged and shipped to order. When we make a mistake we pay for it out of our pockets but when the mistake isn't ours we ask that you cover it. That's why all original charges for shipping are non-refundable and any additional charges necessary to change an order are the responsibility of the customer. Once we ship off an order that package becomes the responsibility of the shipping carrier and A Mystery In Common cannot be held liable. All of our shipments are given insurance coverage, delivery confirmation, (except for our First Class shipping options) and these will be sent to you via email once the order is shipped. 

When returning a package it is important to choose a shipping method that provides insurance and tracking since we cannot reimburse for lost, stolen or damaged packages. If after receiving the returned package we determine it is no longer fit for resale (it is dirty or wrinkled, covered with pet hair, it smells, there are stains or smudges, holes) we will be unable to issue a return or refund of any kind. 

REFUNDS:

Above rules for returns apply. We are happy to issue a refund up to 30 days after after product has been delivered. Once the order is returned to us we can then refund you for the cost of the item(s). If the package is returned to us and the shirts have been damaged or worn we will be unable to give you a refund of any kind.

SHIPPING:

If you include the incorrect shipping address in your order please contact us as soon as possible with corrections. If your package has not been shipped we can happily change the order. If your package has already been shipped we will be unable to attempt a correction until the package is returned and assessed. 

All original charges for shipping are non-refundable and any additional charges necessary to change an order are the responsibility of the customer.

We ship worldwide. Order before 12pm EST for same day shipping. All of our outgoing orders are shipped via the United States Postal Service. You will be provided a delivery confirmation number with your order unless you choose our USPS First Class Shipping Option. If you choose First Class shipping we will be unable to provide insurance for the package and it becomes the buyers responsibility once it leaves our studio.

Privacy

A Mystery In Common collects customer information so that we may improve your shopping experience. If you wish, you may join our (infrequent) newsletter so we can communicate with you about our current and upcoming products as well as any special offers. We collect information such as your name, e-mail, postal address, and phone number when you purchase from our site. We use this information to process and fulfill your order. We will never share, sell, or give your personal information to a third party. Additionally, we transfer your credit card information via SSL 128-bit encryption, and we don't store it on our server. 

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel an order please email us as soon as possible. If we have already shipped your order, please follow the instructions for returns above. Once we have received the returns we can then issue a refund. All orders canceled before we ship items will be refunded the total cost of the items and shipping charges to customers credit card or debit card.

Our Shirts

SIZING:

Please take the time to review the sizing chart before ordering a shirt for you or someone else. We are happy to exchange shirts if you feel the size you ordered doesn't fit right but we do not cover shipping for these returns. Also since all our shirts are hand printed in small runs we may not be able to get you that same design and color combination in the size you want. 

COLORS:

Like any other online shop we try to do our best to portray the true color of our products but they simple look different in person than online. If you are unsatisfied with the shirt color you are welcome to follow the guidelines above in returning the shirt. 

PRINTING:

Did we mention we hand print the shirts? We strive for unique consistency in our printing. This means not every shirt is going to look the same but we like it that way. Sometimes the print is lighter, sometimes it is darker, some prints have a more faded look while others are bold or one of a kind. We mix the ink by hand and we rarely use the same exact color combinations twice. Since all our shirts are printed in small runs we may no longer have the color/design combination you want by the time we receive your return.

We don't sell shirts that aren't printed to our standards but if you feel the shirt you've received isn't up to yours you are welcome to follow the guidelines above in returning the shirt.

TEXTURE:

Currently the shirts we use are really soft and thin. They feel like a shirt you've had for years and worn relentlessly. We've been wearing these shirts for years and they hold up through camping and travel, thousands of washes and everyday use. If after trying on the shirt you feel it isn't right for you please just follow the guidelines above to return the shirt.
